Balen visits Kalikot, leaves without a word

Rastriya Swatantra Party leader Balendra Shah (Balen) began his Karnali Province tour by ringing a bell at Pratima Chowk in Kalikot and leaving without addressing the crowd.

KALIKOT, Jan 30: Senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Balendra Shah (Balen) visited Pratima Chowk in Manma Bazaar, Kalikot, on Friday, where he rang a bell and left without addressing the hundreds of people gathered hear him speak.



As he began his Karnali Province tour after ringing the bell at Pratima Chowk, Shah shared a photo on social media with the caption, “Karnali’s call—now it’s our call.”

Shah is scheduled to continue his tour through Dailekh and onward to Surkhet across Karnali Province, one of the country’s least developed regions. Prior to this, he had visited Banke, Bardiya, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Dadeldhura, Darchula, Bajhang, Doti and Bajura.


Shah is contesting the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) election from Jhapa-5.
