Meanwhile, Mandal, who is also former president of the party, is all set to join Rajendra Mahato-led Sadhavana Party amidst a function in Biratnagar Wednesday, said General Secretary of Mahato-led Sadbhavana Party, Manish Suman.
Mandal held ministerial posts four times in the past. During the King-Gyanedra´s direct regime in the country, Mandal was a deputy prime minister.
"He (Mandal) has been suspended from the party as he violated the norms of the party," said the press statement, adding, "He delivered a speech favoring reinstatement of the monarchy on the behalf of party office bearer, it is against our party policy."
Also, four Tarai-based armed groups, Limbuwan Mukti Morcha and several leaders from different parties have joined SP in the view of the CA polls. "To give the party a national look, to speed up election activity, to induct established names in the party, and ultimately to win more seats, Mahato is taking initiative to forge unification with various fringe parties and welcoming leaders from different parties," said political analyst Chandrakishore.
