AYJJC selects four Judokas

KATHMANDU, April 6: Four judokas have been selected on Tuesday for the Asian Youth and Junior Judo Championships to be held from April 30 to May 2 in Bangkok, Thailand.



The players selected for the youth category are Pawan Kumar Raut in boys´ 50 kg and Phupu Lamhu Chhetri Khatri in girls´ 63 kg .



Likewise, Diwakar Basnet and Sushmita Lawat were selected in boys´ 55 kg and girls´ 45 kg respectively in the junior section.



Nepal Judo Association´s President Deepak Harsha Bajracharya said the selected players will be kept in closed camp from Wednesday.



Altogether 27 players had participated in the selection round held at the Multipurpose Martial Arts Centre, Nayabazar.
