Bhattarai is a Biratnagar-based journalist, who is into journalism for the past 11 years. Vice-President of FNJ Govinda Acharya and Chief Executive Officer of Biratnagar Sub-Metropolitan City Gopal Regmi jointly handed over the award to her.[break]
The FNJ chapter also organized an interaction on "The Role of FNJ in the Present Context´ on the occasion.
Speaking at the function, Acharya said journalists should press for timely promulgation of the new constitution and conclusion of the peace process through their writings.
He said FNJ will provide training to journalists by establishing a training institution in Kathmandu from this year.
