The Ministry has appealed to the agitating groups for talks to resolve the issue through talks at a time when all have been encouraged in promotional works without troubling the tourism environment of Pokhara.[break]
Issuing a press statement on Monday, the Ministry has asked the agitating groups to form a five-member talks team to hold bilateral talks with the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation at 1:00 PM on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the relay strike of locals in Pokhara that was started to pile pressure on the authorities concerned for the construction of the regional level international airport continued also on Monday as well.
The locals have announced to form a human-chain on Tuesday with the participation of representatives of different governmental and nongovernmental organizations.
Similarly, residents of all wards of the Pokhara Sub-metropolitan city are scheduled to dig the land of the airport on Wednesday to make it plainer, member of airport construction concerns committee Basudev Tripathi said.
Tripathi said that the committee has received a letter send by the government urging the agitating groups to send a five-member talks team and discussions to this issue are also underway.
