KATHMANDU, Feb 9: A cadre of armed outfit Akhil Tarai Mukti Morcha (ATMM) Lalan Yadav was killed in a clash with police at Kamalpur in Saptari Sunday night, police control in the capital told myrepublica.com. Earlier, radio stations had reported that the clash occurred Monday morning.
According to police, cadres of the armed outfit attacked a patrol team of Armed Police Force (APF) at Kamalpur-4 at 9.45 p.m. In retaliatory fire, Yadav was killed, the police said.
Three other cadres of the Jaya Krishna Goit-led armed group have been arrested with three country-made pistols and bullets.
Radio Kantipur said the killed cadre was eastern area commander of ATMM.
