SINDHUPALCHOWK, Dec 2: The Araniko Highway has been shut since early Friday morning by locals and relatives of the victims killed in the road accident along the highway in Bhaktapur two days ago.

Dozens of vehicles and hundreds of passengers heading to and from Tatopani, Barhabise, Dolakha, Ramechhap and Kathmandu have been stranded on the road after the demonstrators obstructed traffic movement at Khadichaur and Balefi Bazar along the highway, demanding due compensation to the victims’ families.
