ANTU demands DAV reinstate fired teachers

KATHMANDU, Dec 21: All Nepal Teachers´ Union, an umbrella organization of teachers of all private and public schools across the country, has announced a protest program against DAV school of Lalitpur demanding reinstatement of three teachers the school administration fired in September.



Gun Raj Lohani, chairman of the union, informed that the teachers would stage protests at the school gate also to put pressure to change the Indain textbooks that are currently included in the school´s curriculum. [break]



“Though the District Administration Office, Lalitpur had ordered that the teachers be reinstated, the school has turned a deaf ear so far,” said Lohani, adding, “We may obstruct the classes if the teachers are not appointed again."
