The CIB team arrested Lama, 27, from Sigma General Offset Press, Sanepa where he worked. It has been revealed that Lokendra Bista of the same press had lured Lama into hiding a copy of the question papers to sell it to students, according to CIB. [break]“The papers were leaked four days before the exam on August 8," said the CIB report.
“On August 9, Lokendra sold a copy of the question paper to student Birendra Sah for Rs 30,000 through Kishor Bista and Rabin Pokhrel,” read the CIB report. Similarly, Sah on August 10 again sold it to Madan Mandal for Rs 50,000.
A day before the exam, Mandal, Manoj Yadav and Shiv Sagar Yadav sold copy of the questions to three other students Krishna Jha, Amit Kumar Yadav and Raj Kumar Raut for Rs 15,000 each. The accused have been sent to Metropolitan Police Range, Lalitpur.
Earlier on Monday, IoE had scrapped the exam following the CIB report on the case.
