At a function organized in the capital to mark the 28th National Management Convention and annual general meeting of MAN, President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav conferred the award on Shah. Last year´s MAN "Manager of the Year" was Dr Bhagwan Koirala.MAN said the award was conferred on Shah for his managerial competency and exemplary organizational performance in banking industry of Nepal. He was also chosen, along with Nepali Congress leader Gagan Thapa, as the Asian Idol by the Asia News magazine last year.
MAN also awarded Anuradha Koirala of Maiti Nepal, an NGO working for women, as the "Outstanding Management Award".
On the occasion, MAN also honored Gorkha Brewery, Butwal Power Company and Nepal Tourism Board.
