Alternative coaching class for school dropouts

ROLPA, Feb 15: An alternative coaching class has been organized for school dropouts in a bid to bring back them to school in the district.



International organization Save the Children, with the help of government organization and locals have been conducting a 100-day-long class for those who dropped out of school for various reasons.

 “We have started a 100-day-long coaching class. We teach them three hours a day. They will join classes from the upcoming academic session that suit their levels,” said Indra Buduwal of  Save the Children.


According to Save the Children, as many as 140 students have dropped schools in Tribeni Rural Municipality alone.


According to Ward Chairman of Tribeni Rural Municipality-2, as many as 70 teenagers aged between 14 to 18 and 65 children aged between 7 to 13 have dropped schools.


Most of the children are found to have quit their schools due to poor financial reasons.
