All is well at Birgunj jail: NHRC

BIRGUNJ, Jan. 12: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has said there is no big problem as such in Birgunj jail at local level except some that the state has to address.



A team deputed from the Commission, after inspecting the prison, said there is no huge problem despite some management related matters.



The two-member team had inspected the prison based on a complaint lodged at the NHRC stating that the jail administration did not pay attention to provide treatment and care the human rights aspects of jailbirds, said team Jeevan Neupane.
