The Maoist unionists launched the agitation demanding that the hospital management provided them the minimum scale of wages as set by the government and gave them the permanent status upon completion of 240 days of service.
Visitors and patients admitted to the hospital are in trouble due to the closure of the hospital. The union had halted works at the hospital for two hours on Sunday accusing the management of remaining indifferent towards their "long overdue" concerns. The union had submitted a memorandum over the issues to the management last month.
