Agitating parties' cadres torch micro bus in Saptari

SAPTARI, Aug. 31: The cadres of the agitating Madhes-centric political parties set a micro bus on fire at Rupani in Saptari along the East-West Highway Monday morning.

The protesting cadres torched the vehicle (Ba 2 Ja 6239) in the name of defying strike after forcing the passengers to get off, the Area Police Office, Rupani said. The microbus is completely destroyed in the fire. The situation in the area is tensed at present, it is said.


The Unified Democratic Madeshi Front (UDMF) is enforcing the strike for the past 17 days in the Tarai belt expressing its serious reservation to the delineation of the provinces in the federal setup. RSS
