Action will be taken if Basnet denies party directives: Gautam

BIRATNAGAR, June 17: Vice-Chairman of CPN-UML Bamdev Gautam, on Friday said that action would be taken against the Chairman of the Youth Association of Nepal Mahesh Basnet (YAN) if he continues to refuse being released.



“Everyone should abide by the party’s decision,” he said talking to journalists at the airport. Gautam further added, “Mahesh Basnet should agree to be freed, otherwise action will be taken against him.”[break]



He also said that CPN-UML would not protect anyone involved in attacking journalist Khilanath Dhakal.



“The criminal psychology within the party should be eradicated, otherwise it will kill the party,” informed Gautam, who arrived at Biratnagar to participate at a program in Dhankuta.
