Accused women traffickers busted

MALEKHU (Dhading), Feb 3: The Dhading District Court has issued a directive to take action against an Army man among others involved in trafficking of four women as per the Military Law and remand a woman in this connection.

A single bench of District Judge Iswor Raj Acharya decided to remand Rachana Gurung, 27, of Syuri VDC-2 of Rolpa district and directed the Nepal Army to take legal action against army man Min Bahadur Gurung, 28, of Nilkantha municipality as per the law.


Police on January 10 busted the racketeers from Naubise of Dhading while acting on a tip off that four Nepali women were being taken to the third countries via India.

Lalit Pun, who was also convicted on the trafficking charge, is in the run. His address is yet to be found.

Police rescued the victims and filed a case of woman trafficking against the racketeers at the Dhading District Court. RSS
