Attended by Nepali singers, musicians and lyricists, the program was hosted by Dipendra Shrestha, station in-charge of Annapurna FM 93.4.
Writer and lyricist Prakash Sayami, constituent assembly member Rabindra Adhikari and president of Broadcast Association of Nepal Bishnu Hari Dhakal were present as chief guests on the occasion.
Congratulating the nominees, Sayami, lyricist and one of the founders of the Annapurna FM 93.4, said, “A song reaches its full potential only when it is awarded.”

Lyricist Rajendra Thapa who was also present at the event briefed the participants about the lyrical scene in Nepal and said, “Awards these days lack credibility. We must introduce a trend of including the vote of critics as well as the public to choose a winner.”
CA member Adhikari expressed his happiness at the musical extravaganza being held in Pokhara. “What started as an initiative to promote the musical scene in Pokhara has now grown to be a national level music award. The event should be given continuity,” he added.
