Three minors of a family were killed at Gahate of Mijuredanda VDC-8 when a house of Maila Damai was buried by a landslide. At Kristnache Chaur, five family members of Purna Bahadur Sarki have gone missing as another landslide swept away his house. [break]
The deceased have been identified as twelve-year-old Rajendra Pariyar, seven-year-old Shobha Pariyar and four-year-old Sukmaya Pariyar. Damai, his wife and two sons, however, escaped unscathed.
Sarki, his wife and their three daughters have been missing in the Krishtinachne landslide, said police, adding that search for the missing was underway.
Meanwhile, another landslide at Lekhnath Municipality-11 swept away the houses of Man Bahadur Tamang and Rudra Tamang.
Likewise, the house of Him Lal Timilsina was damaged by a landslide in Sarangkot.
