In Pokhara, two children were killed while 11 others were injured when a jeep heading to Pokhara from Laha Chowk of Kaski district fell into the Mardi River in Hemja-9 at around 10 a.m. The dead are Arjun BK, 1,1 and Bishal BK, 13, of Lwangghalel, police said.
Likewise, one person died and another was injured when a truck, heading to Jogbudha of Dadeldhura from Dhangadhi of Kailali, met with an accident at Chhatiwan VDC of Doti on Tuesday.
Amar Bhattarai, 15, of Alital VDC-7, Dadeldhura died on the spot while Lokesh BK of the same VDC was injured in the accident, police said.
The truck driver is absconding.
