SP Ganesh KC said the fire broke out from a house belonging to Prem Maharjan when the family members were out for work. Police said the fire might have broken out due to short circuit.
No human casualty was reported in the 6 p.m. fire. The loss was yet to be ascertained.
Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army personnel along with Juddha Fire Engines jointly contained the fire two hours later.
