While one additional person is missing, two are injured. Of the three killed, two died on the spot, while one succumbed while being treated in Bharatpur, police said. [break]
Some buffaloes also died in the accident.
Those who died on the spot have been identified as 23-year-old Purna Shrestha of Dhading who was driving the truck, and Miraj Khan, an Indian national.
The one who died while receiving treatment has been identified as 50-year-old Umeswar Yadav, 50, of Dhanusha. Hire Biswakarma, 30, of Nawalparasi is missing.
The injured, Santosh Sunar of Chitwan and Jeewan Biswakarma of Nawalparasi, are receiving treatment at Bharatpur Medical College. The truck plunged 135 meters below the road.
