Kalidash Sharma, 5, Sunita Ban, 4, and Karina Batha, 4, all of them from Bijeshwori VDC-2, were playing inside the empty coop when it caught the fire that spread from a nearby wheat field, according to District Police Office (DPO) of Rukum. [break]
The locals, including Kalidash´s father Suresh Sharma, could not save the children as the flames rapidly enveloped the entire coop. When the police reached site, the coop was reduced to ashes.
