25 Nepalis stranded in Iraq

PARBAT, Aug 22: Twenty-five Nepali youth were taken to Iraqi city, Albastra, and have been left high and dry.



They have been living in a camp in a hungry state for a month when a broker who promised to take them to Afganistan kept them in Dubai airport for a month and finally sent to Iraq.[break]



Khadga Bhadur Shahi, who is one among the youth made a telephone call and asked to rescue him including his friends. Shahi has demanded with the government to rescue them the sooner it is possible reporting they do not have any means to sustain any longer.



"We seek the government´s help to return to our country as all we want to be back," said Shahi through a telephone call.



Each of them had paid Rs 290,000 to Dinesh Katuwal of Kathmandu through Ram Hari KC of Bhorleni, Makawanpur saying to take them to Afganistan, according to Shahi.
