"There were 215 bullets till Wednesday evening," Ashok Sah, chief of the regional office said, adding, "Similarly, 63 Nepali tankers carrying petrol and diesel are stuck at the Indian customs office."According to Sah, these bullets and tankers were on their way to Nepal after receiving fuel from Barauni and Haldiya refinery of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). "Though Nepal is already suffering fuel crisis, these tankers and bullets have not been allowed to enter Nepal," said Sah.
The stuck bullets are carrying LPG that can fill 283,950 cylinders (14.2 kg). A bullet carries 18 tons of LPG which can fill up 1,062 cylinders.
Meanwhile, IOC has stopped filling up Nepali tankers reaching its refineries citing security reasons and ongoing unrest in Tarai districts.
Because of the unofficial embargo, cargo vehicles are stuck in a queue stretching back some 25 kilometers from Raxaul.
