15 more days' custody to CIAA arrestees

Kathmandu, Aug 25: The Special Court on Sunday issued an order to extend 15 more days´ detainment to 39 persons, including 35 government employees, who were remanded for approving the false documents presented by manpower companies before sending workers to foreign employment.



Deputy Registrar at Special Court, Keshav Prasad Ghimire, said the division bench of Special Court Chairman Kedar Prasad Chalise and members Mohan Raman Bhattarai and Bhupendra Prasad Rai issued the order on retaining 17 employees from Foreign Employment Department, 18 other employees and four foreign employment entrepreneurs in prison for 15 more days to continue investigation. They were produced before the court by the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Sunday. [break]



The CIAA had arrested the employees on Friday in accusation of sending 77 Nepali citizens on foreign employment after approving the false documents with false computation and translation.
