The bodies of minibus owner Narayan Prasad Panthi of Bangi VDC, Arghakhanchi; driver Rajendra Chaudhary of Chanauta, Kapilvastu; helper Padam Chhetri of Sitapur, Arghakhanchi; Sita Basnet of Wangla, Arghakhanchi; Sharada Belbase and Om Prakash Belbase of Mahendrakot, Kapilvastu; National Investigation Department staffers Meghraj Khanal of Keruga, Arghakhanchi and Krishna Prasad Chaudhary of Dang; Mina Nepali of Hansapur, Arghakhanchi; Chetkala Neupane of Jukena, Arghakhanchi; Shanta Adhikari of Thada, Arghakhanchi; Kamala Paudel of Arghakhanchi and Keshav Thapa of Dhakawang, Arghakhanchi have been identified till Monday evening.[break]
Police inspector Chandra Kumar Thapa said two men of Tarai origin, who were going to Arghakhanchi to work as laborers, have not been identified yet. Nine men and six women were killed in the accident.
All five passengers injured in the accident are in critical condition, with one being treated in Butwal and four others at Bharatpur Medical College, Chitwan. The five were first taken to the district hospital in Sandhikharka and later referred to the respective hospitals.
The minibus heading to Arghakhanchi district headquarters Sandhikharka from Butwal had veered off the road and fallen some 200 meters down into a ravine after hitting a cliff at around 5:30 on Sunday evening.
