At a press meet organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications on Monday, Ministry Spokesperson Sushil Kumar Ojha said the Ministry has issued circular to the televisions and FM radios listed in the ministry for broadcasting the public welfare advertisements from Monday.[break]
The government has managed Rs 20 million for the advertisements, Spokesperson Ojha said, adding that the media would be provided due amount for broadcasting the advertisement.
Currently, there are as many as 326 FM radios in operation in the country while 38 television channels were provided licenses till the last of Baisakh, the Ministry said.
Among these media, the capital city has 39 FM radios and 15 televisions in operation now.
