Police seized tobacco substances such as Gutkha and Panparag from a mini truck en route to the eastern region from Sarlahi.[break]
The substances packed in 100 sacks were seized while security screened the loaded truck. Police found the substances exported from India without paying customs duty, said Police Inspector at Area Police Office, Michaiya, Naresh Raj Subedi.
Investigation into the incident has been put forward by taking mini truck along with driver and helper under control, Inspector Subedi said.
Police scrutiny has been increased in Siraha with the rise in the transaction volume of gutkha here.
