KATHMANDU, Aug. 13: A writ has been filed at the Supreme Court today for the second time seeking the apex court´s order to have the amount that the 601 members of the dissolved Constituent Assembly (CA) took as facilities and salary.

The Supreme Court had rejected to register a similar writ before this. The second writ has been filed by Sarada Bhusal and Shyam Lal Saha of Mahottari. [break]

In the writ, the plaintiffs have argued that billions of rupees from the state coffers have been misused by the 601 members of the now defunct Constituent Assembly as salary and facilities and committed a dereliction of their duty of drafting a new constitution against the Interim Constitution.

They have stated that the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority has also has made provisions for realizing the amount that is misused by committing corruption.

Registrar of the Supreme Court Lohit Chandra Saha had rejected to register the previous writ on July 23, stating that the writ was filed without any valid ground and without mentioning the constitutional question.
