According to a quarterly report of the Trade and Export Promotion Center, the woolen carpets worth Rs. 1.8 billion was exported to various countries including the USA, Germany and other European countries during the first four months of the current fiscal year. [break]
Nepal had exported the woolen carpets worth Rs. 2.2 billion during the correspondent period last fiscal year.
Deputy Director of the Center, Rabindra Duwadi, said the traditional woolen carpet has a good market in the USA, Germany, and some other countries in Europe
Similarly, readymade garments have the second position in view of export range in the current fiscal year.
Nepali readymade garment worth Rs. 1.3 billion was exported to different countries in the first four months of this fiscal year.
