Issuing a press statement Thursday, DECC said the event was conceptualized with an aim to cater the ever-growing needs and demands for a comprehensive solution of wedding ceremony.
Surendra Bir Malakar, president of Nepal Chamber of Commerce, inaugurated the expo which features more than 50 stalls with a wide range of wedding-related items, including wedding apparels, boutiques, shirting and suiting, ritual accessories, gifts and novelties under one roof.
Organizers said over 15,000 visitors are expected to observe the event.
"The expo will also act as an ideal forum for the exhibitors to give a whole new boost to their respective business," the release added. Various side events, including bridal fashion show, photo exhibition and bridal make-up competition are also being organized on the occasion.
Standard Chartered launches Diva credit card
