The meeting held at party headquarters Balkhu for two days decided to engage efforts for a political consensus government in line with the President´s call and delegate this responsibility to leader Nepal, said UML secretary Bishnu Poudel.
The party has also decided to welcome the President´s call for a consensus, term the Council of Minister´s decision describing the President´s call unconstitutional an act of imposing totalitarianism and express regret to the Prime Minister´s expression to cling to power.
Poudel further shared that the party has decided to call a meeting of council of national representatives in Kathmandu from February 7-9, 2013 and delegate its management responsibility to the party Valley coordination committee.
Likewise, the party has decided to call its central committee meeting on December 10-12, 2012 to take stock of the current political issues.
The party has paid tribute to central member Dilli Bahadur Mahat and party Vice-chairperson Bamdev Gautam´s mother Padma Devi Gautam and expressed condolence to the bereaved family members.
