GAUSHALA, Oct 9: The cadres of the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) have obstructed the movement of three sugar carrying trucks of Everest Sugar Mill based in Ramnagar, Mahottari. The trucks were heading to the capital city this morning.

The cadres of the agitating political parties prevented the trucks from heading to their destination after learning that the sugar mill administration was making efforts to supply the sugar despite the ongoing indefinite strikes. The general shutdown in the Terai districts is continued for the past 56 days.

A team of agitating cadres led by Ram Naresh Kushwaha of Terai Madhes Loktantrik Party obstructed the road by cutting off dozens of trees in a forest along the road that links the sugar mills to the East-West Highway. RSS
