Two new planes for NAC: Minister

KATHMANDU, June 23: Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadga Bahadur Bishwokarma on Thursday announced to purchase two more planes for Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) within mid-September.



Speaking at an interaction program organized by Reporters Club, he informed that the subject has already been discussed and that he has convinced finance ministry, ministry of council and major political parties for the same. [break]



"I have convinced everyone and will take up this proposal in the next cabinet meeting,” he said.



NAC has been influenced by the thugs and brokers, causing a state of stagnation in growth, the minister accused.



We are also preparing to dissolve the management committee within a week and introduce a new management committee bringing a radical change, he added.



Minister Bishwokarma also expressed his commitment to increase the number of tourists to ten lakhs in the Nepal Tourism Year 2011.
