Two Nepalis killed in road accident in Croatia

KATHMANDU, March 13: Two Nepali youths were killed in a road accident in Croatia.



The deceased have been identified as 39-year-old Bharat Karki of Mechinagar Municipality–12, Nayabasti in Jhapa and 27-year-old Bhuwan BK of Kumakh Rural Municipality in Salyan.

The two, who had been staying in Bosnia and Herzegovina, met with the accident while traveling to Croatia for a trip. According to Simon Tamang, president of the Non-Resident Nepali Association Croatia, the accident occurred on February 12.


Tamang said efforts are underway to repatriate the bodies of the two victims to Nepal.


At the time of the accident, the group traveling from Bosnia to Croatia included three Nepalis and one Pakistani national. One Nepali woman and the Pakistani national were injured in the accident and are currently receiving treatment, according to the NRNA.
