KATHMANDU, Aug 7:  Metropolitan Police on Tuesday arrested two members -- including an Indian national -- of a Tarai-based underground armed group with explosives. The arrested have claimed to have been associated with Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha (Rajan Mukti group).

Sources said Prakash Kumar Karna, the Saptari district in-charge of the group, and Indian national Mithilesh Yadav were arrested from Nagdhunga with three grenades, two socket bombs and two hand grenades.

"They confessed to have planned placing the explosives at several busy public places in the capital," a police officer told myrepublica.com.
