TUTH to take action against protesting staffs

KATHMANDU, March 27: Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj warned of taking action against those, who ignored the sensitivity of the hospital works in the names of various protests, from Sunday if they do not return to their services whether they are professors, doctors, students and employees.



The hospital administration gave the warning regarding the disruption of hospital services called by resident doctors and other staffers, who had gone on strike, accusing Dean Dr Arun Sayami and his deputies of leaking the questions to some of the entrance candidates and receiving bribes. Hundreds of patients have been affected after the services were disrupted for 15 days in the hospital. The hospital was established by Government of Japan three decades ago. It is the first and biggest teaching hospital in the country.



Due to strike in the hospital around 25,000 patients coming for treatment were deprived of getting treatment, around 50 complicated and 20 common natures of operations were disrupted.



A ministerial team held discussion with the agitators and the senior administration officials of the TU and IoM in a bid to resolve the disagreements.



The hospital was established by Government of Japan three decades ago. It is the first and biggest teaching hospital in the country.
