TU teachers union condemn attack in Ayurved campus hostel

KATHMANDU, Aug. 30: Nepal University Teachers Association, Ayurved Campus Unit, has condemned the attacked that took place in the Hostel of Ayurved Campus on Wednesday night.



President of the Ayurved Campus Free Students Union Sudarshan Pokhrel and former President Shankar Gautam were injured in a clash following by minor dispute between the members of Ayurved Campus Nepal Students Union and ANNISU (Revolutionary).



NUTA Ayurved Campus Unit President Ramadhar Yadav issued a press statement and demanded that such activities be stopped for they defame the dignity of the institution and urged the campus administration to take action against the guilty and take initiatives to stop such activities in the campus premises.



The students close to ANNISU (Revolutionary), who dispersed after the disputes again entered with other students at the hostel at 11:00 pm on Wednesday and attacked the Free Students´ Union (FSU) leaders, according to FSU Unit of the Campus.



The FSU claimed that leaders of ANNISU (Revolutionary) Laxmi Narayan Bhagat, Lokendra Karki, among others, were involved in the attack.
