Timely constitution to end crisis: DPM

JANAKPUR, April 5: Deputy Prime Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadhar has said the nation would fall into the circle of political conflict and uncertainty if the new constitution was not drafted within the given timeframe.



The Madheshi Janadhikar Forum (Loktantrik) chairman  was speaking at a press conference organised by the Madheshi Journalists’ Society, Dhanusha on Monday. [break]



He expressed his hope that timely constitution was possible if consensus was forged among parties.



“At present, the nation is in crisis”, he said, adding, constitution making needs the maximum support from the Maoists, as the party has more responsibility to take the nation towards a right direction.



Responding to a query, he said Janakpur would be kept in priority in the context of the development of Terai region.



Speaking at the same programme, Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, Sharat Singh Bhandari said the Lumbini-Pokhara-Muktinath-Janakpur tourism concept would be implemented for the development of Janakpur.
