Temporary teachers on strike detained by police

KATHMANDU, August 1: Temporary teachers stage a sit-in program in front of the Ministry of Education on Monday demanding the government to make their positions permanent.



Police have detained around 100 teachers from the venue.[break]



The temporary teachers staged a sit-in program on Sunday, in front of the Constituent Assembly building at New Baneshwor.



They have announced that such protests will be staged in front of the Ministry of Education for 10 more days, for two hours each day.
