The deceased has been identified as Indra Bahadur Sarki, 29, of bhirkot-5, Dolakha, according to the Metropolitan Police Sector, Singha Durbar. Sarki was a driver of the taxi (Ba 1 Ja 7994).[break]
His taxi was found after accident in front of the Head Office of the Kist Bank, Hanumansthan near Babarmahal. The taxi driver was found dead around 100 meters south at the banks of the Dhobi Khola in course of carrying out search operation of the taxi that met with accident.
Police suspect that the taxi might have met with accident last night.The body has been sent to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for postmortem and investigation into the case is underway, said police.
