According to Sipradi Trading - the authorized distributor of Tata vehicles in Nepal, Nano will be available to customers within a few weeks.[break]
Nepal has become the second international market for Nano. It was launched in Sri Lanka about a week ago.
Sipradi has brought two units of Nano for the campaign that began from the company´s showroom at Teku from Wednesday. Siddhartha SJB Rana, chairman of Sipradi Trading, inaugurated the campaign amid a ceremony.
In the next 35 days, Nano will reach different parts of the country, covering a distance of more than 10,000 kilometers. After the completion of the first campaign, Nano will embark on another campaign, covering a distance of about 35,000 km and reaching almost everywhere in the country.
"The campaign has been organized to prove the reliability and durability of the vehicle in any road conditions," said Rana.
Sipradi is launching three variants of Nano -- Nano, Nano CX and Nano LX - in the Nepali market. Nano and Nano LX are available in three colors, while Nano CX is available in five colors.
Nano -- the basic model -- has features like digital fuel gauge, front room lamp, integrated front seat headrest, sun-visor, driver seat with slider and recliner, front assist grips, fuel indicator lamps, temperature buzzer, and rear seat belts. Nano CX has all the aforesaid features along with more features like cooling system, integrated rear seat head rest, co-driver seat with slider and recliner, rear assist grip and booster assisted brakes.
Similarly, Nano LX has other additional features like body colored bumpers and door handles, front fog lamps, rear fog lamps, instrument cluster with trip meter, power windows, cup holder and central lock with key.
Though Sipradi has not fixed the price of Nano in Nepal, the car with four seats and 624 cc displacement is expected to cost between Rs 800,000 to Rs 1.2 million.
