Out of the total, 700 went for test drives while 30 of them have booked a purchase of different brands of cars in the Tata stable, it said. FNCCI president meets Bangladeshi ambassador
KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) President Suraj Vaidya and the ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal Mashfee Binte Shams met Thursday at the federation´s secretariat to talk on the bilateral relations between Nepal and Bangladesh, FNCCI said in a statement.
According to FNCCI, the talks focused on economic bonds between the two countries and ways to explore joint investment between the countries’ private sectors.
Goodlife biscuits to be in Nepali shelves by end of Sept
KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Asian Biscuit and Confectionery, a joint venture between Jaju Group and Sharda Group, has announced it will be launching a new brand of biscuits – Goodlife -- by the end of September.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Asian Biscuit and Confectionery said it had Nepal´s largest biscuit manufacturing plant and was aiming on making Goodlife a global brand and carve itself a place as a pioneer in manufacturing and marketing of business.
“Our goal at present is to shift consumers from buying imported foreign biscuits to buying a homegrown brand which is equally good and also available at more affordable prices,” Asian Biscuit and Confectionery said. According to the company, the products are made using the best in baking technologies. The company further said that it will be initially launching more than 10 varieties of biscuits and further introduce 10 variants every three months in the first two years.
