Taiwan support to quake victims

KATHMANDU, May 1: In an email sent to Shova Gyawali, director of Nepal Republic Media (NRM) Private Limited, Department of NGO International Affairs under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of China (Taiwan) has provided a donation of 300,000 US dollar for emergency disaster relief to the Government of Nepal.

Deputy Counselor Hsu Herbert of the department also informed that a 10-member medical mission organized by Tzu Chi Foundation will arrive in Kathmandu on April 27.


He also added that Taiwan SOKA Association has provided a donation of 1,000,000 New Taiwanese dollars (approximately 33,333 US dollars) as humanitarian aid to Nepal.
