Student unions including the All Nepal National Free Students´ Union (ANNFSU) and the Nepal Students Union (NSU) organized the demonstration and shouted slogans against the government at Pradarshani Marg.[break]
Similar demonstrations were organized at various colleges in the Kathmandu Valley, including at Amrit Science College, Saraswati Campus, Pashupati Multiple Campus and Baneshwar Campus, said NSU spokesman Bhupi Lamichhane.
Lamichhane said more programs of protest would be announced if their demand to withdraw the price hike in petroleum products was not addressed within 24 hours.
