SSB turns more merciless at Panityanki checkpoint

PANITYANKI, India, Nov 3: Over 400 cargo vehicles have been stranded at Panityanki checkpoint in India since last one week. Indian security personnel have become more merciless after Indian national died in the clash in Birgunj yesterday.

"Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) who had assured Nepali truckers that they would reach Kakadvitta on Tuesday morning were retold that their Nepal return would be uncertain, truck driver Narayan Chaudhary told Republica," adding, "Our stay in India is likely to be prolonged."


Over 400 cargo trucks have been stranded in Panityanki checkpoint of which 19 tankers are loaded with fuel. Indians locals are reportedly troubling Nepali truckers by extorting money.

Only 15 cargo trucks including one aviation fuel tanker and one LG gas bullet have entered Nepal today.
