Sports competitions mark Civil Service day

KATHMANDU, Sept. 6: Buddhabir Lama of the Department of Transport Management, Khima KC of Central Fisheries Development Department and Madhav Prasad Niroula of the Department of Foreign Employment have stood first in today´s men´s five-kilometer race, women´s three-kilometer race and Veterans´ 1.5 kilometer race respectively under the different sports competition held to mark the Civil Service Day.



Similarly, Chudamani Lama and Bishnu BK of Sundarijal Arsenal stood second and third position in men´s five-kilometer race.[break]



Krishna Kumari Gauli of the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare and Nirmala Giri of the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development stood second and third position respectively in women´s three-kilometer race.



Likewise, Mukunda Prasad Parajuli of Bir Hospital and Rajaram Shrestha of Water Borne Disaster Department won silver and bronze medals respectively in Veterans 1.5 kilometer race.



Shyam Prasad Maharjan bagged the first position in men´s single table tennis while the team of Dr. Ram Prakash Pradhan and Tilak Raj Chaulagain won the gold medal in men´s double table tennis.
