Top two teams of the ACC Challenge Cup to be held in Thailand in December will also participate in the tournament. Top three teams, except Afghanistan, from ACC T20 Cup will qualify for 16-team World T20 Qualifiers.[break]
Judokas selected for South Asian Cadet Championship
KATHMANDU: Nepal Judo Association (NJA) selected 12 judokas each in boys and girls´ section on Thursday to participate in the ´Judo For Peace´ Second South Asian Cadet Championship to be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh from December 5 to 8. NJA had conducted a selection tournament participated by altogether 123 players, including 73 boys, on Thursday in Kathmandu.
The selected boys in 10 to 13 years age group are Subodh Mandal, Ajay Rai, Rupesh Shahi, Nishan Limbu, Sanesh Shahi and Raj Rai while Anita Shrestha, Debaki Maya Shrestha, Rekha Sunar, Suji Shrestha, Nisha Yadav and Anjali Shrestha have qualified in the girls´ section of the same age group. Likewise, Yuvaraj Sunar, Bidhan Roka Magar, Pawan Kurmi, Himparba Khatri, Sushant KC and Alnur Ansari are the boys selected in 13 to 16 years age group while Bisnu Maya Waiba, Puja Karki, Puja Shrivastav, Pushpa Kami, Manita Pradhan and Deepa Gurung have also been selected in age group in girls´ category.
