KATHMANDU, March 28: It’s amazing how new music flows in every week and we’re left mesmerized and music from just last week seems older! Bottom-line: music is getting “old” faster and new music takes over.

To keep you updated with all the happenings in the international music industry and its latest releases, here is what we suggest you to listen to and flank your music knowledge![break]

Far East Movement, featuring Justin Bieber – Live My Life

With a hit as huge as “Like A G6,” Far East Movement doesn’t need any help reaching the top of the charts.

But a hook up with the biggest superstar doesn’t hurt, does it?

The group is back with a bang featuring teen sensation Justin Bieber and with the Bieber tag on the song, it can’t go wrong!

A feel-good, club-ready anthem that’s equally infused with both the hip hop group’s unmistakable dance vibe and Bieber’s maturing vocal swag, “Live My Life” is quite amazing.

Rihanna, featuring Chris Brown – Birthday Cake

First, it was Chris Brown featuring Rihanna on his song “Turn up the Music” and now it’s Rihanna’s turn to feature his ex on her song “Birthday Cake.”

Are they back together? We have no clue. The song once leaked on to the Internet and wasn’t considered to be included in her new album “Talk That Talk” but thanks to the interest of the fans, it’s now featured in the set.

Marketing gimmick? Probably, but the song is worth listening to. You’ll hear a lot of cakes, cakes, cakes in the song and watch out for the lyrics!

Cassie – King of Hearts

American R&B recording artist, model, dancer and actress Cassie, born Cassandra Ventura, is out with her latest release, “King of Hearts.”

A punchy and totally club-worthy single, it’s set to be included in her sophomore album to be released sometime in 2012. She’s come a long way since her debut album in 2006 and it sure looks good.

Gavin Degraw – Soldier

Gavin Rossdale made a good comeback with the release of the album “Sweeter.” It reached the 8th spot on the US albums chart and its latest piece “Soldier” is all about the words more than its beats.

It’s a potential wedding song that finds DeGraw promising his girl everlasting love, and that he’ll always be there fighting for her when needed. Sweet romance is the sense in Gavin DeGraw’s “Soldier”!

The Fray – Run For Your Life

The name The Fray will probably remind you of their song “How to Save a Life” but that’s all going to change. The Denver-based band is out with their third effort and the piano rock outfit is set to score more smashes.

The new single off their latest album “Scar and Stories” is called “Run for Your Life.” It’s about running away from a tragedy only with something good and never looking back.

Hats off to the lads for creating a song which can be interpreted in so many ways. You got to purchase their album!

Lionel Richie, featuring Shania Twain – Endless Love

“Endless Love” is the latest release by Lionel Richie and he’s featuring Country superstar Shania Twain. The original version was sung by Richie and Diana Ross.

The new single is set to be featured in Richie’s 10th album, “Tuskegee.” The two divas’ voice can’t be compared with each other because they are equally good and its definitely worth listening to.

Michael Mind Project featuring Bobby Anthony and Rozette – Rio De Janeiro

If you’re having a house party with a little dance, this song’s got to be in your list. A feel-good summery dance tune featuring Bobby Anthony and Rozette, Michael Mind Project is out with their song “Rio De Janeiro.”

Pitbull, featuring Lil Jon – Shake Them Dice and Roll

The song that can follow Michael Mind is this song for your house party. We have no clue what Pitbull is singing but it just sounds so good. In his new track, “Shake Them Dice and Roll.” Pitbull is featuring Lil Jon and has an amazing tune to it.

It’s another club song that you can dance to at home if you’re getting bored of the same music DJs play every other week in K-Town. Got to update that iPod and you’re all set!

Jakwob, featuring Jetta – Electrify

Trance, electro house, electro-hop and now it’s dubstep. It’s definitely dominating the dance music scene at the moment and the single “Electrify” by British Dubstep DJ and producer Jakwob is a fine example.

Included in his upcoming debut studio album, the track features vocals from Jetta, and once you listen to the song, you’re hit by some sort of déjà vu, something similar. You got to YouTube it!
