Twenty-seven years old Ram Babu Thakur of Pashupatinagar-2 fired a bullet at his mother Sumitra Devi Thakur, 45, killing her instantly, police said. [break]
Ram Babu is the youngest son and he shot his mother dead in a fit of rage following a spat between them.
Police confiscated a home-made shotgun and three rounds of ammunition from the house during a search following the incident.
Ram Babu Thakur is at large, the Area Police Office, Bardibas stated.
